General Appearance:
- Alert and oriented but slightly uncomfortable.
- Moderately distended abdomen, especially in the lower quadrants.
- Stable vital signs: BP 135/85 mmHg, HR 78 bpm, Temp 36.8°C, RR 16 bpm.
Abdominal Examination:
- Inspection: Moderate lower abdominal distension, no scars, bruising, jaundice, or ascites. Skin appears normal with no signs of spider naevi or palmar erythema.
- Palpation: Mild tenderness in the left lower quadrant. No rebound tenderness, guarding, or palpable masses. No hepatomegaly.
- Percussion: Tympanic in upper and central abdomen, dullness in lower quadrants.
- Auscultation: Reduced bowel sounds. No bruits or abnormal sounds.
- Special Tests: Negative for shifting dullness. Murphy’s sign negative.
